The Play is done, the set has been struck. All that remains are fond memories of Babes in the Magic Wood. At the final-night party thanks and appreciation were bestowed upon the Director Mary Huggins, who received a special Christmas Basket of "appropriate" gifts, to the Producer Val Heuman, to Sarah MacLean, Artistic Decorator Extraordinaire and Fairy Godmother Plenipotentiary for their mammoth efforts in manifesting this wonderful pantomime. Special thanks to the musicians, Diane Nault and Travis Anderson.
The coveted Golden Grinch went to Elcita Young and her cohort Robyn Shanks who brought audience participation to a new level. The "Udder Award" was presentd to Sean Bibby who, as Clockwork Panda, dazzled us each night with his original choreography, culminating with a reprise of John Travolta's moves from Saturday Night Fever.
The beautiful set pieces, designed by Doug Huggins and executed by Chris Bayne's crew,
are now kindling, and the toys in the toy shop have returned to their homes. The stage floor
has a new coat of black paint and awaits the next troupe of actors.

"November 7th, 2005
The snow has finally arrived to stay and now the curtain
is about to fall
on the last night of the first production of the 2005-2006 season:
The production is very exciting. There is a dancing donkey,
a flying witch, singing, dancing, children in amusing costumes,
a gray whale,
and a cast of dozens! (Okay, I was kidding about the whale.)"
We opened with this humourous pantomime
November 23rd.
It ran until December 3rd.
